159 reasons to show my desk

I was going to say good morning but

it seems it disappeared while doing the housework

I am actually sat eating my lunch,

while watching a cooking program

a lady making cakes..

she has just made a pumpkin cake

but am amazed she is making DOG bicuits

yes you read that right...

they look yummy

She has just said humans can eat too...

I will have to hunt the recipe..

anyway onto my desk

for WOYWW with Julia

it has been used lots of late 

I have made a few cards for the MIL

 You can see them on the desk in there sleeves

you can also see the 50th card...

that gives it away..yes this was last wednesday..

I am slightly cheeting

but last week I couldnt get photo's to load

so missed WOYWW

Yes these are all ready to be put onto cards

there is a real mix in here.. 

decoupage, sewing for allsorts

I need more time to get the cards made up now

I may get some done tonight..

Paul has been in a meeting all day today

and has a BIG deadline regarding a program he is writing

so my guess is he will be working tonight

so I will get my desk set up ready for serious crafting later on

Step Daughters Birthday

Morning once again

and Welcome to yet another Follower..

I have so many cards on the PC ready to show

I thought I best start to show them

This one I made for Paul's daughter for her Birthday

I have no idea where the stamp came from

as it is one that Paul's mum had

 The little shoes along the bottom are a freebie stamp with a magazine

I used freebie papers too

The image is coloured with Spectrum Noirs

 I added flowers and ribbon and some sticfkles and gems

 You can JUST see the sparkle on this pic

Are the shoes not cute... 

I will be using these again as the make a lovely edge.. 

I am going to go hopping and see if I can't find some challenges

and maybe enter a couple..

I need a reason to make cards as I have no birthday for a while

50th Birthday

Hello I think at last I can show you the card 

Blogger will not let me add photo's on the PC

so I am on Paul's old work laptop... so lets see

yes it works...

here is the card.. 

do you like it??

 I have opted for a gate fold card... 

hand drew the edges in a wave..

covered with paper leaving a small boarder

then added some the same paper in the center

using one of my new EK punches, I punched the edges

then added the flowers

I don't use flowers very often but.

I have to say...I am getting slightly better

**blow my own trumpet**

 I added some beading down both sides 

to tie the flowers together down the side

I opted for cream and gold flowers..

to match the cream base card and papers

but didn't add leaves as I didn't think the card needed them

**** I then decided I needed 50 in cream but where to get !!!

I spent hours on eBay looking, every colour for sale but no cream

So I did a post asking for help.and the lovely Toni sent me some

Do they not look fab !!!

I then made a box for the card to go into

Adding lots of flowers... with leaves this time

a couple of pins and I even did some embossing 

Happy Birthday and the Butterfly.. 

Here they are together....

Paul's mum loved it..not sure about his sister

as I have not spoken to her since... 

I hope she did..

50th Birthday

Hello... this post is not the one i had in mind

and lets hope that Mr blogger will let me add pictures

and he will not...am not sure why

and I have not got the time to look into it...

is anyone else having problems with him

I am going to Paul's sisters 50Th tonight

and I was going to show the card...

I will try and have another go later if I get five 

I have school run, dentist and pick Paul up...

then the drive back to Grimsby

I was so looking forward to showing too

the numbers toni sent me look fab..

Celebrating or if not crafting

I woke up at 5am this morning 

and by the time Paul was up I had made 4 more cards!!

Then we had breakfast, packed the car

and headed to see Paul's mum.

She was fine and enjoyed playing with my new punches

I have a Tilda to show

and I am so pleased I spent the extra time

and actually did some sewing

There she is... All in browns

I even distressed the doily!!

The sewing around the edge is real

and I will have to do this more often 

Tilda is paper pieced

I even went as far as sewed the edge of the doily so it matched

Added some mulberry flowers, gems and a charm

the sentiment was a freebie stamp with a magazine

Here is a side shot so you can see the inside of the card,

Orange Tilda

Second post of the evening for me

I know its strange but am posting as I make

As I seem to have a back log of Pictures

So here is Tilda coloured

ready to be paper pieced

 And here she is paper pieced  I did two of them

But I am showing only the orange one

 Here she is on the card

with flowers !!!

 I have not used flowers for ages and ages

So thought I would give it a go

Still think I need another one at the bottom

 Side view so you can see I have done inside also

and I used one of my new edge punches

So there she is...

I have to admit the second card I made

with brown Tilda is so much nicer..

I will show you her tomorrow

I have looked on Ebay for hours for cream... 

your a life saver.

BUT

.I have new toys

And I have used them already

 Are they not lovely... and am sure the snowflake one will come in handy

what with Christmas card making in the next couple of weeks

Oh and then I saw these.... 

they are made from something hard...lol

Can not for the life of me remember now I am writing this post

 And some lovely flowers.. all in

I do tend to make mainly Girly cards....

Although I am going to keep an eye out for neutrals

and Maybe just maybe order some more

It is that time of year coming up in a couple of weeks

so I have asked for a paper trimmer as a pressy

50 in cream..cry for HELP

Hello fellow bloggers...

Now do any of you that follow me that live in the UK

have a machine that will cut the numbers 5, 0.

I am after 50 in cream card... just one set..
about 2 inches in height 

I have been on Ebay and sent msg to a few people to ask.

As most are selling them in either Gold or Silver.

Now if any of you have... 

would you be a sweety and let me know if I can buy them

how much and sent me a private mail so I can post money

then you can post them onto me

I need them before the end of next week

I do have Paypal account so can transfare direct !!

Please help if possible

I am on a mission this weekend to find a craft shop in the Area.

And hope they have something I can use...
