Aperture card... attempt one...

...I had to post this as I think its an OK card,
BUT (rolls eyes)
needs practice and maybe a different flower punch
(add to the never ending shopping list lol)
I am definitely going to have another go.... as I do like the end result...
And I can't just post perfect cards can I..
We all make mistakes, or are maybe not happy with the end result.
here is the card.. Tell me what you think... any tips... what I have done wrong...
ANY HELP at all really
Closer shot, maybe I should iron the flowers flat before using them
Maybe I shouldn't use peel offs...maybe I need to look at buying some stick on gems.. lol
(more for the list.)
Those that visit me regular, will know I can't get much in the way of craft supplies
so I often go on about wanting this and wanting that.... sorry
but its all yours fault... I look at your gorgeous work and think..
I want that.wonder where they are from...!!
So I Blame YOU....
(huge grin)

This post was started on Saturday, but it wouldn't post...
Don't I sound happy...lol
Am sure I will be back to my Happy self by the weekend
I am now going to go to bed,
Watch a film
Hannah will watch a film in the room,
so I should get an hour of peace..
Although I have just noticed a competition using stitching !!
so I might print a design out and lay out and stitch..
I have three days !!! mmm

A still ill Claire xx

No Name

As I have no idea what to call this post...
I am so not well...I can not even think of a good Title
(sad face, Wipes nose with tissue and tries to swallow with out pain...didn't work)

I made this card yesterday..took me about two hours..
too long me thinks..
Girly Christmas Card.

The flowers were made by hand, each petal cut out
and then glued together..
I didn't go for exact on each I wanted them wonky.
it is two 14cm square white CS
I have distressed the edges with peony pink Pigment
I then punched four holes each side and used ribbon to join the two pieces together
I then attached the flowers to the corners
then the cute fairy's in the center.
I also popped a couple of flowers on the opposite sides,
I didn't want to leave them blank
And a little Purple and silver Christmas Tree peel off.
There is now room to write my message by hand on the right hand side
(which will be the front of the card)

I am entering this card into competitions..
here they are..

Make it Monday - Anything Goes

My fave colour is blue.. so

Why oh why was this card so hard to make!!!
Maybe today is not a day to craft.
Go on over to Less Is More and have a look at some amazing cards...
Here is mine..

I started off with A4 white CS folded in half
I then measured and cut out six squares
(I really do need a square punch)
I had decided I wanted one blue flower
BUT
when I had made it, it wasn't right.
So I sat and cut out 15 more hearts
(by hand..could do with a heart punch too.lol)
In three different colours.
Glued together and then glued on some gems.
I then spent at least 15 minutes deciding were to position them
mmm I don't have any blue gems or lettering!!
 what to do...
I will colour them myself....
Good idea... So I colour the dots, then start on the sentiment
and... just after I take this picture, the pen starts to run out
(ARRRGGGGHHH)
I know it is shades of blue, but I was a little worried the letters would not look right
(pen is now in the bin)
Here are the letters getting lighter as you read down...lol

I then added an insert, using the original flower made

I may have another go at a blue card later,
I have my order's we are watching Rango.. while having tea
which I have to make..
And on the menu tonight is... Beef cobbler.
(may take a pic)

Post 100....

Can't quite believe this is my 100th post...
 how time flies
I had a rather nice birthday on Monday,
I received a card through the post from.
Mum in Law... (Yvonne)
Hand made
And
It is so so nice, the colours are gorgeous.
I had to show on my 100th post.
I have to admit..the first thing I said..was (big grin)
I want that edge punch... lol
then I want the purple card !!!
I think the little bumble bee just finishes it off nicely.
We did fone the evening of my birthday to say
Thank you xx
Yvonne also sent me two books, Which I have sat and read through
And I have made one of the cards already !!
(will post a picture later)
I also have to share these pics...

Tasmin... She obviously went into Hannah's bedroom, then the camera obviously found it's way in there also... I found this picture while uploading the picture of my Birthday card....
She does look cute, BUT Hannah did get into trouble, as she knows I don't like the dogs in the bedroom, never mind on the bed.

And here is my pooch being very patient while I am busy making cards,
(this was taken this morning)
And she doesn't have any paper stashed under them paws !!
And last but not least...
Hector.
Yes he is at this moment in time hung on my curtains

And am sure he will spend a couple of hours there.

Right I am going to go and make yet another card..
which will be the forth one today.
