Hello there all...how is your...

Friday going... Mine has been a busy one up to now
I have been getting BBQ things ready...
Yes another BBQ weekend...
we are making the most of it while we still have sun
and fairly light evening's
I came online to show you my
HUGE Christmas card for Olly
It is now finished... well nearly
Just needs a verse but that's Paul's job !!
So here it is.. I am adding pictures of stages
Here is the three A4 pieces of card folded and glued together
Here I have stood the backing piece to make sure it fits OK
This is a full piece of A4
Here you can see my attempt at distressing...!!
This is for the middle section
I had already done the same for the piece of card that the train is attached to
you can see it on my desk... along with the mess gathering...lol
Here I have added a trim to the top.. just for some dimension
for when the card is on show
and now for the full card...

I think it is rather sweet...

I had to take a side view too..
To be honest I have taken lots of pictures
but will only show you a couple

Here as you can see I added Olly's name to the carriages
and also some red sticky dots for the berries on the holly
Here I have laid the front layer down so you can see the middle layer
Are the little Christmas carolers not cute
and there singing....
We  wish you a merry Christmas !!!
And here is the card laid flat, as it will come out of the envelope.
All Finished
I have decorated the rather boring envelope
with another picture of a train
and some Christmas paper...
There you have it....
And on another note.
I have typed this whole post up twice !!!
yes twice... not amused with our network at all
oh and with the added bonus of Pooch being laid on my knee
here she is
Excuse the brush in the background..lol
It's amazing what I can do with one hand
take the picture
then upload to PC
all with her still in that same position

Competition list..
Simon says Stamp - use a song or film title for inspiration
I have used We wish you a merry Christmas
Art with No Boundaries - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

I hope the card fits into the Challenges OK
Thanks for reading this rather long post
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Fabulous card Claire. I love the scene you created, and colouring, all the images and the beautiful sky.

Wow, such a great card, Claire! I love it!

Your pooch is so sweet! My Lab is too large to get on my lap so keeps my feet warm instead!

Thx for linking it up to the Make It Monday party!
